Vocab Games

I found this site:

http://www.digitaldialects.com/index.htm

It has a really interesting range of languages. Basically it has picture games to help you learn vocab. The shame of it is there doesn't seem to be any sound. If they added that it would be a top notch resource. But considering it has languages like Maltese that I was interested in it still makes it worth checking out if you're interested in lesser taught languages.

Greek and Latin Resources

This looked like a pretty good site:

http://www.textkit.com/

It has lots of free resources for books on learning either Latin or Ancient Greek.

Russian Books In English Translation

I ran across this bookstore:

http://glas-books.com/default.aspx

which looks pretty interesting. They sell Russian books in English translation. Looks like they have a very interesting selection. The store is based out of Chicago. The only weird thing is it looks like you have to e-mail them if you want to buy anything. But I notice that their titles seem to be on amazon.com too so you can probably just order the books there.

Russian Library

I ran across another great free Russian library:

http://public-library.narod.ru/

Mainly the classics - what I liked is there are some harder to find items like Esenin's poetry in Russian.

The whole site is in Russian so this link is for our more advanced students out there.

Balalaika Virtuoso

I've seen this guy play on youtube and I found his website:

http://www.arkhipovskiy.com/frame/A.html

He is so amazing - as an aspiring Balalaika player myself I'm just in awe of his talent. Just click on the videos to see.
