More French Stuff
I'm one of those rare people that is actually under 40 and enjoys opera. My fav was always - well of course - Carmen. I just found this great book "Carmen Opera Comique" By H. Wynn Rickey and Margaret Shriver that is available on amazon.com for just a couple of bucks. It is the French libretto for the opera. I never thought of using opera lyrics to learn a language but you know it's actually really fun and not half as much an up hill challenge as trying to dual read a Harry Potter book. The vocabularly is fairly basic (so a mass audience could appreciate the story) and of course is repeated often through melodies etc. Check out the boook along with a recording or one of the many movies of the opera and I think you'll agree it is a fun way to pick up a little french.
